Job done - new pathway provides safer route

I am really pleased with the work being done by the county highways crew at the triangle on Middlemoor Rd, to create a safer route into the village for families living in Newton Rd. The guys are just extending the kerb to provide a straight crossing into the triangle, and some foliage needs cutting back to give better sight lines. They were hard at it when I dropped by to see how they were getting on.
I stepped in at the beginning of the year when the county didn't seem to be able to give residents in Whittlesford a timetable for delivery of this route, despite the efforts of the parish council. I met with the projects manager for the county who committed to completing it by early April, and here we are, just in time for spring.
