Hare coursing alert

With the spring comes the increase in hare coursing in rural parts of Cambridgeshire and in fields around Thriplow people and cars have been spotted running greyhounds and carrying out this illegal activity.
At the same time local farmers raised with me their concerns about the increase - because these people have a history of reacting aggressively and violently if challenged by a landowner. A farmer on his own would be very brave to rock up and ask these people what they were up to.
I'm pleased that the police led by local police chief James Sutherland are taking this seriously. The Royston Crow has an article on this issue this week.
If anyone does see anything call the police - don't challenge the hare coursers.
