County council to do traffic analysis of A505 and A1307

I have been pressing the county to find out more about traffic flows in the area and I am glad this work is happening now. It isn't as simple as saying that all vehicles are trying to get into Cambridge from outside. We have a great deal of traffic moving along the À505 - some of it village to village some of it people getting to work at the various science sites along the route and some of it passing through to meet up with the route down to East Anglia. 

Better information will give us the basis for pressing for improvements - whether things that can be done quickly like cycle routes and improved bus services, to longer term solutions about the A505 itself.
