More burglaries in Whittlesford

I asked the police at Sawston for an update on their action to curb the spate of burglaries taking place in and around local villages. The police say they do have leads and are following them up.
But three more thefts/burglaries have taken place in Whittlesford in recent days - including theft of a lawn mower from a shed and a house burglary.
The closeness of the village to good escape routes like the A505 and M11 doesn't help, but after a long period of very little crime in the village except a bit of graffiti, we now have an upward trend which isn't good.
The next neighbourhood police panel is not for some months, so we will need to talk to the police before then. Possibly time for a return of Neighbourhood Watch?
