The gates are open at Hinxton ford !

I spent a certain amount of time yesterday calling, emailing and tweeting the county council highways team to get the ford gates unlocked and the route between Duxford and Hinxton re-opened.

One of the ways of persuading them was to reference the app that shows the volumes of water at various water stations round the country and there is one for Gt Chesterford. The water levels are low and falling.

The gates are now open although confusingly some of the "road closed" signs are still there. 

But anyway a quick response from the county so good result.
