And behold, a light appeared in the East - Welch's transport

Residents of Whittlesford living opposite the Welch's transport depot that was built alongside the A505 three years ago have complained that the lighting was not part of the planning permission.

Because the site was in the green belt - and I argued against it at the planning committee - there were a lot of restrictions imposed on it. It has not been easy getting South Cambs planning department to take a look at this issue but they have now and certainly the round illuminated lights on the side of the building are not part of the original deal. Here is the pic I took that got them out to take a look. 

There may be other parts of the set up that are not covered by the planning permissions but this is one that the enforcement team have now passed to the planners - the next step will probably be that Welch's apply for retrospective planning permission and it will be for local residents to decide whether to oppose that.
