Walking the line - a risky business at Whittlesford station

So I was standing on the footbridge at whittlesford station at 7 this morning doing a live interview with bbc radio cambs. This was because last Thursday evening 4 young people were reported by drivers on the A505 as walking along the rail track south of the station. The line was then closed while transport police did a search of the tracks. People at the station told me the police weren't mucking about - treated it as a major incident.

We have really useful village to village crossings round here: Sawston - Whittlesford x 2, Duxford - Hinxton, Ickleton - Gt Chesterford and so on. Need to get message to youngsters to treat the tracks with respect otherwise we risk losing our crossings. Safety first.
