Standing on private land, this is the view from Duxford towards Whittlesford Parkway station, and where we are exploring the feasibility of a footpath and cycleway, accessing the platform underneath the road bridge that carries the A505. There was a meeting with Network Rail and Abellio 2 weeks back chaired by our MP Heidi Allen, and I have sent information to the rail company to help them carry out a further feasibility study of risks and practicalities. This isn't going to be easy - it's a fair bit of civil engineering that is required, plus the risks that the rail companies are very aware of.
Next week I am with Whittlesford parish council meeting officers from South Cambs District Council discussing the scrapyard site in Station Road Whittlesford and the plans for housing on it.
