The Hinxton crane

No, not a rare bird but the crane that hovers over the southern end of the village, helping to build an accommodation block at the Genome Campus.
Local residents asked me to make some enquiries of the local authority planning department as the crane was starting up at six am.
Usually developers are given fixed hours to operate, not starting before eight or 8.30 in the morning but I discovered that this requirement seems to have been omitted.
The representative from the Genome centre who attends parish council meetings, mr parsley, is monitoring the situation and if there are any complaints will take action to start later in the day
