The big society

Going round our villages you learn a lot and sometimes people ask for help that gets you thinking how vulnerable folk can be.

This morning there was a young mother who had a baby a few days back and whose house has been without a phone since the tel lines were damaged - you would think BT might make it a priority?

Yesterday a very frail lady who couldn't get out of her house because the access path specially installed wasn't actually negotiable by someone using a Zimmer frame. Last week an elderly lady who had had loft insulation installed by some cowboys and now she can't get into the loft because they botched the job.
I've passed the details on and will be keeping an eye on developments.
