Whittlesford's Neighbourhood Plan gears up in the New Year!

In November I met with the four Parish Councillors currently acting as the working group heads (Housing, Transport & Infrastructure, Environment & Heritage and Community Assets) to discuss the progress of the Neighbourhood Plan.

It was great to have our new Neighbourhood Plan assistant Jo with us too. We agreed that all information collecting and research should be finalised as early as possible with the drafting of the NP to be undertaken and finished by mid-2017.

The following week I arranged for Jo to meet officers at South Cambs to get a download of information on how to pull together a NP. South Cambs is putting more resource into helping parishes crack on with their plans.

We agreed the need to engage with people at the southern end of the village and also local businesses, and to that end we are arranging a drop-in briefing session at the Red Lion on Thursday 12th January 2017 from 4pm to 9pm. Please do come along and have a chat about what the NP plan means to you and how you can have your say or get involved.
