Keeping busy

Last week I had meetings with:

- the police and residents at Heathfield;

- one of our bright young planning officers and some people at Whittlesford concerned about a planning matter;

- the expert tree officer over an old ash  that is falling into decline;

- the county 20mph road safety advisor and highways engineer and Ickleton parish council;

- planning and finance officers over the scrapyard development at Whittlesford rail station;

- business and university leaders in Cambridge over proposals for getting more powers devolved locally;

- parents concerned about the capacity issues at our local schools and sought answers from the education officers at the county;

- our local MP at the opening of some much needed affordable homes.

At the weekend I went rowing. Oh, and distributed my district council election leaflet.
