tea party at the new affordable homes in Whittlesford

Heidi Allen, our local MP, did the honours of cutting the ribbon to welcome new homeowners to the very high quality affordable homes in Newton Rd at Whittlesford. The site is some way out from the village but the new path across the Moorfield Rd triangle should make it safer walking in to the centre and there are plenty of existing houses there. The houses have enhanced the look of the road. We on the parish council have worked hard to make these new houses and the design of the site fit in - we rejected the original designs. I made sure the rules on local connections criteria for applicants were properly applied.
The development will provide good homes for people with Whittlesford connections doing essential jobs such as teaching and telecomms engineering.
