Babraham cycleway - decision due - positive I hope!

The County Council planning officers will decide in favour of this cycleway application next week under delegated powers. I have supported this practical approach and am happy for them to do this, rather than wait for a slot on the planning committee agenda that might delay the decision by some months.

For the avoidance of doubt, the application is for the installation of a new 1.1 km cycle path through the grounds of the Babraham Research Campus from the roundabout at the entrance to the campus on the A1307 (Cambridge Road), through the campus grounds, to “The Close” in Babraham village. The path will feature solar studs for way finding and access from the public highway at either end.

WHEN THE CYCLEWAY FROM THE GOGS TO BABRAHAM AND THEN OVER TO THE ABINGTONS WAS OPENED IN EARLY 2015, THIS BIT WAS THE MISSING LINK, SO TO SPEAK
