schools back - but where are the extra desks for next year?

I've started meeting the heads of the village schools round here to gather information on their plans for next year in terms of expected class sizes and their perception of grwoth and demand.
There is no doubt the because of the quality of many of our village schools, and the general economic growth in the area, there is demand, especially where schools work closely with local employers and have before and after school facilities.
Getting the balance right isn't east, because what the county cannot afford to do is build classrooms and authorise extra teachers who are then not being used. And it is about modelling where the growth will come and when. I am seeing three more schools this week, including one with our local MP, Heidi Allen.
