Following the decision last week at South Cambs planning committee to turn down the application for a solar farm on green belt land at Thriplow, this week the planning application to build a cemetery on green belt at Whittlesford has been withdrawn.
While there are exceptions to the general rule of not allowing development on the green belt, the bar is rightly set very high.
