The road less tarmac'd

We had a good early morning meeting with highways and two members of the parish council to look at the state of Brewery Road in Pampisford. 

The road was surface dressed 18 months back but by Contractors who used defective machinery and residents have been unhappy ever since.

We agreed that the new and much better contractors - who did Hunts Road in Duxford to billiard table standards earlier this year - would come and see if they could put right Brewery Road. We fixed that they would come and look next week. Understandably, no contractor who is any good would commit without understanding the defects.

I could add a pic of five blokes looking at the road surface but instead here is a pic I took while cycling from Pampisford to Whittlesford afterwards to catch the train down to London.
