Plans for a busier petrol station on A505 near Duxford

Local residents living along the A505 (in what used to be RAF houses built when the Imperial War Musuem site at Duxford was an operational airfield) are concerned at the scale of the proposed development of a petrol station there, opposite the gates of the IWM itself.
Work started on the site - clearing the ground, see below - this last week, with residents receiving notification at the same time.
I have to say that the road there is very narrow, with no passing points, and the petrol station plans to operate a car wash facility and a cafe - hours as yet unspecified. Local residents said to me that they are worried that the petrol station will become busier and make the road even more snarled up than it is at present, as well as concerns about the additional lighting that will be on the site.
The planning application will come to Whittlesford Parish Council for discussion, and then be decided by the district council probably in the new year.
