Hinxton and highways

Hinxton very keen on the new signs arranged by  the county council and the work done to keep lorries out of the village ( and so reduce the numbers of juggernauts getting stuck in lanes designed for no more than a mediaeval waggon).

At a parish council meeting ths month the council resolved to write to the county thanking the project officer, Karen, who had driven the work forward. The people at Hexcel got an honourable mention for their willingness to change postcodes and paperwork and put signs up in their depot telling drivers about the local routes, and paying without hesitation towards the costs of the county signs.
