Roads? Buses? Trains? Future thinking for local transport issues.

I called in at the public consultation being run at Sawston Village College by local developers Smithson Hill this evening. They had spent the day with local parish councils and other people taking in ideas about local transport issues such as the A505, A1307, bus services, Whittlesford train station etc, following on from a previous event I went to at Hinxton late last year. They plan to put forward ideas when the County Council consults in the summer about local transport issues.
There are some good ideas emerging - and I have been talking to the County transport chiefs about how we can get government money to help, as well as developer's contributions, because some of this is not going to be cheap. Smithson Hill have acquired the land around Hinxton Grange, and my understanding is that they want to build an agri-tech science park there eventually.
