Tasertastic success in unblocking Duxford's drains

Well done to the team at the highways depot who spent several hours on Thursday sorting out the blocked drains at Mangers Lane in Duxford. Something local residents say has been on going for years. We discussed it at the parish council at Duxford week before last and I talked to the guardians of the galaxy at the Whittlesford Bridge depot to see what could be done.
Now look, blocked drains are not very interesting, except when you find you can't get out of your house because there is a lagoon in your driveway. So forgive the slightly over the top pic of what a jetspray capable of shifting years of silt might look like.
The county team did the same job at the other side of Duxford at Bustler's Rise last year, where a soakway chamber big enough to fit a car in-I peered in-had silted up rendering the whole engineering solution unworkable and causing real floods.
