Sorry, couldn't resist the headline. Anyway, once again some Whittlesford village residents opened up their gardens for the National Garden Scheme which raises money for specified charities from the takings. This year the money goes to the East Anglia Children's Hospice. Weather was good, and I was pleased that after a lot of nagging, the district council did clear up and remove the ivy from a pathway leading to one of the gardens.
What with the litterpick last Sunday the village was looking pretty good in the sun.
