The creature from the black lagoon - Whittlesford's own mud swamp

With the current overnight rain the swamp at the bottom of station road at whittlesford will be even now lapping at the rails and turning the last few metres of the road into a festering morass of mud, bog water and silt. 

Not a pleasant job to clear it away but I have asked the district council portfolio holder to see if we can't get some of it shifted. As often repeated, the underlying problem is under the rail track, but the costs of digging up the railway is not attractive to Greater Anglia.
