Among the debates was one on Cambridgeshire Future Transport, and a call for the county to really get behind finding innovation ideas for joined up community transport, linking with the NHS to understand supply and demand and share ideas. I spoke in support, making the point that current empty buses running from many of our villages were an unsustainable model and we needed to look to places like Fenland and Suffolk who were further ahead in finding solutions and models.

County Council backs plans for Cambridgeshire Future Transport
At the county council today there were fulsome tributes to Cllr John Reynolds who died recently, and who was a county councillor since the early 1980s. John was a hard-working and committed councillor who always had an encouraging word or piece of good advice to give and had a huge knowledge of local issues.
