I've been on at the county council highways team to get the work started at Middle Street at Thriplow so that the drain that is damaged there can be replaced to stop the water backing up and creating a sizeable lake.
Especially as the weather gets hotter - it will soon start to be unsavoury.
The investigation work is now starting to determine the best way to tackle the problem, rather than just digging the road up and then standing round scratching heads as with the Bernard Cribbins song from the 1960s (you're too young to remember)
