I've spoken to the highways team and they are now ready to go in and fix the collapsed drain leading to a soak away under the road in Middle St.
The issue is that this scale of remedial work, involving big diggers and lots of chaps in hi-viz jackets and size ten boots will need a major replanting operation of the daffodils on the bank behind.
The Parish Council and the Daffodil Committee will need to think about the next step to make sure there isn't a big gap where the daffs should be come next year.
