Final evening's chit chat on the doorstep

Compared with just ten days ago, going out knocking on doors for the district elections in this weather is delightful. Cricket net practice is just starting, even while the last football games are being played out.

Did a last minute round up to check that people living in the sheltered housing had lifts arranged for tomorrow.
I had a good discussion with people living near the church in Whittlesford about the walled garden and plans for its development, and the plans to build on the scrapyard in Station Road which come up before the parish council on Tuesday.
We need to keep our villages separate and distinctive - some development, but not just any development. See what happens tomorrow.
