The lights go on in Whittlesford and other places

At last the trenches and fencing around the streetlights that have been with us since Christmas are beginning to bear fruit in that the first of the lights are being turned on.
These are replacements installed by Balfour Beatty under the Councy Council arrangements for putting in new lights which are more energy efficient and should last longer.
But what we want to see sooner rather than later is the work done, the trenches refilled and the fencing and signs packed away, so our pavements and roads return to normal after being under siege for a long time. I will be reporting progress to parish councils at meetings this week.
