Planning application for 5,000 grave cemetery at Newton Road, Whittlesford

The parish council has been given until 4 November to respond to a planning application to build a cemetery along Newton Road near the M11 fly-over on the land that is currently Spinney Hill Farm. The land is green belt but under planning law cemeteries are allowed as long as the open nature of the green belt is preserved.
I have asked the district council planning department for an extension of the time for people to consider this application and send their views to Lorraine Casey, the officer dealing with this application at South Cambs District Council.
Further details are on the district website and the planning reference is S/1842/14/FL
