Big meeting in Whittlesford this evening, wsith local facilities such as the Sawston surgery and the IWM represented on a panel chaired by County Cllr Tim Stone. The United Reform Church was filled to the brim.
Some very good points made, about sixth formers trying to get to Cambridge, about isolation in villages even for young people, not just the elderly.
Very similar to the position in and around Linton were I was on Monday.
Difference was that the Linton meeting put forward options for discussion, whereas the Whittlesford was much more in the early stages of informing people of the changes. There will be a consultation with the elderly across the village at Lettice Martin Croft on 1 May at 10.30.
