A boost for democracy!

Looks like the number of people wanting to serve on Whittlesford Parish Council will exceed the number of seats, which means an election for the first time in 20 years.

Though it will cost money this is good news, I believe, as parish councils will be taking on more responsbilities under the Localism Act and there should be a mandate from the residents of the village.
